And now….you could kick yourself. You wail, “I should never have quit!” Or maybe you have never touched a musical instrument in your life.
But lately….you have been dreaming about playing….

Here are some good reasons to take music lessons as an adult:
1. You don’t have to. Playing music is fun. If it ever stops being fun, you can stop taking lessons.
2. You can play what you want, when you want. Play the music and learn the techniques you want to learn.
3. It helps to be retired, but it’s not required. Even if you are swamped with work and/or children you can carve out just a few minutes a day for practice.
4. You can teach a new dog old tricks. Recent research from the University of Texas at Dallas shows “evidence that mentally challenging leisure activities….can restore levels of brain activity to a more youth-like state”.
5. You can de-stress Relax and enjoy learning something new.
